During the occupation, Aalborg had a large group of German troops, mainly because of the nearby airports and because Aalborg is located close to Norway.
In addition, the first resistance group in Denmark was formed in 1941 in Aalborg — the well-known Churchill Club. We pass the Gestapo headquarters and other strategically important buildings and memorial plaques that formed the framework of the history of World War II.
